Sonakshi has potential: Kamal Hassan

South superstar Kamal Hassan talks on Sonaskhi for the first time at the FICCI Frames 2011.

South Superstar Kamal Hassan who is in Mumbai attending the three days FICCI Frames 2011 that kick-started today, just announced the name of his so far untitled film with Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. It's called Vishwaroop to be directed by Selvaraghavan. The fifty five year old actor will play husband to the 20-something Sonakshi.

After wrapping up the inaugural session of FICCI 2011 in the morning, Kamal caught up with the Mumbai media and discussed Vishwaroop other than touching upon topics as varied as World Cup finals, piracy, digital cinema and the resurgence of regional media. Replying to a query on why he has cast the `one-film-old' and the so-young Sonakshi, Hassan said, in his area of work, script is the most powerful tool. "Someone like Sonakshi was the demand of the script. Her looks and demeanor have effortlessly slid into the role. It's shaped up pretty well," he said. He however kept mum on further elaborating her role, where she plays his wife.

Has he seen Sonakshi's work before casting her? "Yes, I saw Dabangg and thought she was good in it. She has lot of potential and that's why I cast her," he smiled defending his choice.

Kamal will be in Mumbai attending the three days FICCI Frames and plans to catch up with his leading lady of `Vishwaroop' Sonakshi, and her family, if time allows. "Let's see, everything depends on the schedule", he said guarding his secret meeting with the actress.
